CleanScale is primarily an organic salt that behaves as a strong acid and incorporates a highly effective corrosion inhibitor to minimise the risk of possible damage to the underlying metal substrate. CleanScale is a safer, more effective replacement for hazardous acids such as hydrochloric, sulfamic and phosphoric acid and offers superior performance to organic acids such as acetic, oxalic, citric, formic, gluconic and lactic. As a water-based formulation, there are no hazardous or corrosive fumes associated with it either in storage or during use. CleanScale will dissolve approximately 300g of calcium carbonate for every litre of concentrate. When diluted with water, CleanScale will still dissolve the same amount of calcium carbonate for each litre of concentrate but at a slower rate.
CleanScale is suitable for use on any equipment that may be effected by water scale such as heat exchangers, boilers, cooling towers, process equipment, condensers, mixers and evaporators.
CleanScale Applications
CleanScale can be used for a variety of descaling, rehabilitation, titration and corrosion control uses and is certified to NSF/ANSI 60 specifications for use on potable water systems and wells. It’s even Kosher Pareve approved.

Case Study: Cleaning Volvo Heat Exchanger
Description: 40 litres of warm water @ 50 degrees and 20 Litres of CleanScale.
The solution was in an open container and agitated for the entire 3 hours with a small pump.
